Join us for the launch event of our new book ‘Going Circular’ (https://www.tandfonline.com/toc/rpim20/current) and debate on circular cities and regions, taking place at the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, TU Delft and online on 9 April 13:00-15:00 CET. We will explore some of the burning and critical questions regarding a transition towards Circular Economy in cities and regions, such as:
- the need to adopt an explicitly spatial perspective on circular strategies,
- the opportunities that the current geopolitical turmoil may create for ‘going circular’,
- the overlooked capacity of circular practices to promote Social Inclusion (care-full Circular Economy) through the ‘care’ lens that can be used to make cities more inclusive and just through circular strategies,
- the potential of circular bioeconomies to reduce the ecological footprints of urban regions
- or the integrated assessment frameworks urban and regional transitions towards circular futures.
We will also engage actively the audience in the room and online debate on what these issues mean for spatial planning and urban and regional policy practice.

Below you will find a teaser for the first chapter of the book, edited by Marcin Dąbrowski, Karel Van den Berghe, Joanna Williams and Ellen van Bueren, introducing the spatial perspective on Circular Economy.
