I contributed to an article, co-authored by Hsinko Cinco Yu and Tsai-Hung Lin, which  investigates the potential of placemaking for stimulating active engagement of tenants in management of social housing and its shared spaces in Taipei. Being part of a forthcoming special issue of Planning Practice and Research on policy transfer in planning and urban policies, we also explore how this practice was initially inspired by community placemaking in Japan (Machizukuri) and tactical urbanism practices in the US initially and how it differs from the approaches to social housing management used in the West.
